The Donate-a-Day ministry offers periodic and ongoing opportunities for parishioners to live their call to stewardship, by generously sharing their time, gifts and talent in gratitude for God's many blessings. With reflection on the principles of Catholic Social Justice, this ministry sponsors and coordinates service opportunities for those in need, through a variety of local social service agencies. Events are typically scheduled for weeknights or weekend afternoons for a few hours, and may involve painting, gardening, hosting bingo games at local nursing homes, or preparing meals for the Lincoln Park Community Shelter or Ronald McDonald House.

Parking Ministry Kicks Off
For many, belonging at Saint Clement begins in the parking lot. Since finding parking can be a challenge, the parish is looking to start a parking ministry. The parking team will facilitate the flow of traffic into and out of our parking lot, ensuring the safety of children and others in crossing the street, and guiding to other parking options when the lot is full. Individuals are needed to assist with this important ministry. Our initial plan is to establish several teams of two volunteers to serve before or after 9:30 Mass. Training and safety gear will be provided. Please consider serving once a month in this new ministry. Contact Maggie Hanley to express your interest and receive additional information.
Volunteer at the Mission of Our Lady of the Angels
Devoted to serving those in need in West Humboldt Park. Parishioners serve the Mission one Saturday of each month, sorting clothing, cleaning, gardening and performing other odd-jobs, as well as assisting with food giveaways and neighborhood parties. To be added to the volunteer list and informed of upcoming dates, contact Tracy Hagan or Kari Kristen.
Assist with Sunday Morning Child Care
Do you enjoy working with young children? Are you missing or looking for opportunities to interact with them? Do you have time once a month to help promote a prayerful environment at Saint Clement? For children ages 18 months through 3 years, the Sunday morning Child Care Ministry offers sufficient, trained volunteers to help parents who want child care services during the 9:30am Mass. This important ministry allows parents of young children to be spiritually nourished in a prayerful environment during the Sunday liturgy, without the distraction of an unhappy child.
Our goal is to have an ample team of volunteers to ensure a sitter/child ratio of 5:1, and are looking for volunteers who can assist once a month for two hours during the Sunday 9:30am Mass. A one year commitment is desired. Volunteers must attend Virtus training provided and required by the Archdiocese (a one-time class; more information will be provided), and complete the necessary background checks. To volunteer or for more information, contact Maggie Hanley.
Serve as an Overnight Volunteer for the Lincoln Park Community Shelter
Overnight volunteers provide supervision for LPCS and their Guests from 9:00pm-6:30am on weekdays, and 9:00pm-8:00am on weekends. Volunteers must be 18 years of age and must interview and attend one of the monthly orientations before training. Overnight volunteers are needed 365 days of the year. Volunteers are NOT expected to stay awake all night, and can read, work, watch TV, sleep, etc. in a room separate from the Guests. Lights out for guests is 10:00pm. For training, you will be paired with a veteran volunteer for your first overnight until you are comfortable on your own. Questions or interested? Contact Jen Kouba.
