The Saint Clement Human Concerns Commission focuses our parish's response to the physical and social welfare needs of our parish family and the broader community. Raising awareness of our responsibility to address social issues in light of the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, promoting direct service opportunities for parishioners and participating in actions to promote social justice in our civic life are some of the ways we place our faith in action.
Human Concern's mission is to:
- Help parishioners become good stewards by moving from faith to action;
- Provide concrete opportunities for parishioners of all ages to serve the needs of the poor and vulnerable; and
- Invite parishioners to join in solidarity with all people of goodwill to redress the systemic injustices present in our public life.
The Human Concerns Commission also coordinates the sale of “Chicago Shares” vouchers.
All parishioners are invited to join us. The Commission meets monthly on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.
